This book is part of a series and although I didn't read book two, I was able to catch up to the story easily. Sam had it rough, his wife left him after being unfaithful, he is now a single parent. For Jayne life has not been easy, forced to give her daughter up for adoption and going to jail as an accomplice of a crime she was not aware of. They are both trying to move on with their lives when the meet. There is some lying, deception and real life situations. The story was engaging , with characters from the previous books popping up.Product details

Msg Watters has crafted an engaging romance that takes place about three years after book two. Sam is alone now, son Ricky is resentful and rebellious, and Dancing Moon Ranch needs help. Jayne (Rebecca) Hamilton appears to be the answer to Sam's prayers on several levels. But as all good stories do, this one quickly moves from hopeful to complicated, dragging Sam and Jayne into an emotional and relational quagmire. Some reviewers have criticized this series so its high moral tone. My take is that the thoughts and feelings represent somewhat the moral context of that family and the community in which these characters have lived their entire lives. It also seems that the choices these characters make are, in large part a response to hurtful choices from the past which they themselves feel are promiscuous. In any event, this book does deal with the effects that can wound, and often those wounds are inflicted on our children. So it was for Jayne and in some respects for Ricky as well. This is a very emotional novel and it reflects considerable writing skill on the author's part. A truly fine read.
I am still enjoying the characters of each book in the Dancing Moon Ranch series. This is another easy to read book that I found myself caught up in..again. I love seeing how the characters evolve and meet new family members with each book. I have bought the whole series and am working my way through it.
This was a good read. Maybe I'm a hopeless romantic, but I enjoy reading about people falling in love. The thing that works best in the series is the characters are finding true love and not bed hopping. The book was a good read with a satisfying ending that had me looking forward to the next book.
I would recommend this author, this book, and this series to anyone who loves a great love story !!!!! I read ALOT and still this book and the rest of the series are still stuck in my head. I have to say this series was one of my most favorite. Top three no doubt !!! And you will absolutely love her website. You kind of get to know the whole family ! Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
I so enjoy the books in the Dancing Moon Ranch Series. I finish one and I can't wait to read the next. This book has such a good plot. The characters are well-developed. It's easy to get involved in every situation. These are books that any romance fan would love. I classify this as "romance" but it's so much more. Enjoy!

Jack's brother, Sam, has advertised for a guest ranch manager for Dancing Moon Ranch. His mother is ready to hand the reins over to someone else, Sam and Jack have interests in other ventures, but they wish to keep the ranch. Jayne Hamilton applies for the job, and although Sam feels she is hiding something, he hires her anyway. Jayne's skills bring even more income to the ranch, and Sam is wildly attracted to her (he is no longer married to the woman in book one), although he is still suspicious that she is hiding something. The author does a fine job of revealing, a bit at a time, the conflict between Sam and Jayne, as well as what Jayne is hiding. She weaves relationships skillfully, always expertly blending the romance, sensuality, and internal conflicts of her characters. Makes you feel you're right there with them, feeling what they feel, experiencing their joys and sexual tension! This is the third book in the trilogy, and all three are MUST READS!
loved the book but really..could do WITHOUT SAMs constant talking about his want/need of sex....was very tiring and skipped over it...enough already..he was supposedto be setting an example but was ridiculous...really liked and enjoyed the book except for that...wish author expounded more on her family and maybe had them come back to ranch to get better aquianted with their daughter again before the 12 years later ending..
